Erratum

 The author and the journal apologise for an error that occurred in the paper by Schernhammer et al. in the September 2007 issue of Endocrine-Related Cancer 14 721–732 entitled ‘Body shape throughout life and correlations with IGFs and GH’. The error relates to a numerical error in Table 1 as printed on page 724, waist circumference and height were measured in centimetres, not inches. For height (cm), the median should be 165.1, not 143.0; 10th and 90th percentile for height (cm), are 157.5 and 172.7, respectively. For waist circumference (cm), the median should be 75.6, not 65.5; 10th and 90th percentile for waist circumference (cm) is 66.0 and 94.6, respectively. None of the errors alters the interpretation of the data or the authors' conclusions. The correct table is published in full here.
